GIVING

A Library is Full of Treasures...

History.
         Science.
Tales of adventure, heartbreak and triumph.

Worlds long gone, or that have never been, or on whose brink we hover today.

All of this is in the library.

Your donation to the Friends of the Racine Public Library brings these wonders to the community. It provides the funds for programs that enrich all ages and bring neighbors together. It helps make learning fun for children and youth, and encourages the lifelong quest for knowledge and art in everyone.

Your donation makes those treasures available to all!

LOBBY SALE PROCEEDS SUPPORT THE WORK OF THE FRIENDS

Each month we highlight a special topic. For September, we are featuring award-winning books and Oprah picks. In addition to this special display, there is always a nice selection of fiction, nonfiction and audiovisual materials for children, teens and adults.

Children's books are just $.50, whether hardcover or paperback. Adult hardcovers are $1 and paperbacks are $.50. DVDS are $2, compact discs are $1 and audio books are specially priced. Like-new books (see the shelf labelled "new books") are specially priced at $5 or less.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Racine Public Library, the proceeds from the sales support the services and programs of the library. The Lobby Sale is open during regular library hours: 9 am – 8pm, Monday – Thursday, and 11 am– 4 pm on Friday and Saturday.
