This year our authors are:

Roger Hinterthur’s Justice Delayed is Justice Denied is the true story of a fourteen-year -old paperboy who saw a brightly wrapped package on the roof of a parked car. When he picked it up, it exploded, killing him instantly. Hinterthuer was the lead detective in the investigation of his murder and numerous related murders occurring over a fifteen-year span. Although investigators linked the murders to one man, a motorcycle gang enforcer, an elected official was the biggest stumbling block to obtaining justice for these victims. Sit, Stay Heal: how an underachieving Labrador won our hearts and brought us together is Mel Miskimen’s story about connecting with her dad after her mother’s death rocked the family. Training Seamus to be a champion retriever was the magic potion. At turns hilarious and heart breaking, this book will touch the souls of dog lovers everywhere, and speak to anyone seeking a way to connect with those they've lost. Richard Ratay’s Don’t Make Me Pull Over: an informal history of the family road trip is a lighthearted, entertaining trip down memory lane. This nostalgic blend of social history and Ratay family lore reveals how the family road trip came to be, how its evolution mirrored the country’s, and why those magical journeys that once brought families together—for better and worse—have largely disappeared.
